True devotion = love Him as a bride + follow Him wherever He goes (Jer 2:2)
Do I love Him as a bride?
Am I willing to follow Him wherever He goes?
You become what you follow.
If you follow worthless idols, you become worthless yourself. (Jer 2:5)
I am worthy bc I follow Jesus. And Jesus is worthy!
We (children of God) bring punishment on ourselves by forsaking Him. (Jer 2:17)
Do I ever forsake Him?
Forsaking God = not being in awe of Him (Jer 2:19)
Am I always in awe of Him?
God judges us when we don't acknowledge our sins (Jer 2:35)
Confessing sin=acknowledging sin
There is a time and season for everything (Ecc 3:1)
It is time to reap
